Let our librarians play matchmaker! Take a chance and let us set you up on a book date. If you’re lucky, you may even find your next favorite book or author! Fill out the linked form to participate. We will place two books on hold for you, based on your preferences. You must have a San Marcos Public Library card to participate.

Hays, Blanco, and Caldwell County residents are welcome to sign up for utility assistance with Community Action case managers. If you are deemed eligible, you could possibly have your electric and gas bills paid for a year. Priority given to low-income households with high energy use, high energy burden, the presence of a child (ages 5 or under), disabled, elderly individuals, or veterans. Please bring a government issued photo ID, a US passport, or birth certificate for all members in the household, and proof of income for anyone 18 and older such as: paycheck stubs, social security benefit letters, child support, long-term disability, and/or VA benefits. The Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to strengthening the library through fundraising, volunteer work, and advocacy. Friends of the Library membership donations are used to help the library grow. All Friends may attend the annual meeting. If you are not a Friend yet, you can join at any time.

Come experience a Balinese gamelan gong kebyar ensemble. Members are comprised of Texas State University students, faculty, and staff, as well as members from the central Texas community. Gamelan gong kebyar music is defined by its lively energy and intricate rhythms.

Join this group to enjoy the fiber craft of your choosing and meet other fiber-loving folks. Bring your own fiber projects to work on. Meets every Wednesday.
