Lord Farquaad (52894438)
While this stunning pup has only been with the shelter a little under a month, he’s already made a big impression on our staff and volunteers! This sweet boy is Lord Farquaad, a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix that is ready to head home! This handsome pup is great on a leash and already knows commands like “sit” and “lay down.” Lord Farquaad has had good interactions with other dogs while at the shelter and hasn’t met a person he doesn’t like.
Dutch (49798239)
Dutch has been in the shelter for more than 475 days. This good boy can come off as aloof and independent when he first meets people, but bring out a soccer ball or a water hose and his goofy, fun personality starts to shine! Dutch is a soccer star and will follow your feet as you kick the soccer ball around in this advanced fetch game. When the game ends, he enjoys relaxing in the pool with a sprinkler or water hose spraying over him. Dutch has had good interactions with both dogs and cats. His adoption fee has even been sponsored by a generous member of our community. Can we get this sweet boy home before he hits his 500th day at the shelter?
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets are $22 and include spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. To meet the pets, visit the San Marcos Regional Animal in person from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays, or online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/adopt to choose a pet and fill out an online adoption application.
