Dog of the Week: Winifred (50694402)
Winifred (50694402) is a stunning three-year-old Dutch Shepherd! She's been at the shelter a little over a month and has already made a bunch of friends with other dogs that share her same high energy. At 66 pounds and and a slim physique, she's a great running buddy. Winifred will need a few walks a day or big yard to play in and plenty of brain stimulating toys to keep her busy. She's potty trained, walks well on leash, and is an overall 10 out of 10 good girl!
Cat of the Week: Cheddar (50260503)
Cheddar is a very handsome orange Tabby. He's five years old, 6 pounds, and would benefit from getting lots of love so his beautiful personality can shine. Cheddar is a shy boy but loves getting head scratches. He has come out of his shell a bit since arriving at the shelter but will still need plenty of time to get acclimated to his new surroundings. Once he feels safe, he will be roaming all around his furever home!
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets, defined as cats and dogs that have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, are $22 until further notice. This special price includes spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations and a microchip. To meet our pets, please visit us in person at the shelter, open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
