Community Resources for COVID-19
Please see the North Carolina State University document for frequently asked questions with COVID-19 and food safety.
Due to the shortage of toilet paper, you may be using alternative supplies i.e. wipes, napkins, etc. Please understand that this will cause blockages and sewer line back ups. This is also a concern with septic systems.
Wipes may be disposed of in a waste container rather than flushed down the toilet.
Please visit the linked TCEQ website for information on reducing Fats, Oils, and Grease in your sewage lines.
Please visit the CDC linked web-page below for information regarding cleaning and disinfection recommendations for food establishments and residences.
Environmental Health provides education, enforcement, and resources in response to a wide range of issues which affect the environment, health, safety, and general well-being of our community.
We promote public health and safety by permitting and inspecting a variety of food establishments and on-site sewage facilities (OSSF) to ensure compliance with State and Local Health Codes. In addition, we investigate different types of public health nuisances/issues within the City of San Marcos jurisdiction.
