Dr. Daniel Guerrero - SEU
Former City of San Marcos Mayor Daniel Guerrero received his Doctorate Degree from St. Edward's University over the weekend. Dr. Guerrero worked with the San Marcos Fire Department and Fire Marshal's Office to develop and present his thesis on mentorship within the fire service. Congratulations to you, Dr. Guerrero!
Stacy Peters TXST
Stacy Peters - Administrative Assistant Sr. with the Fire Marshal's Office - graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science! All those long hours of studying and working through lunch have really paid off! Way to go, Stacy!
Zach Sutterfield - Angelo State
Survivor of the 2018 Iconic Village Apartment Fire, Kyle has graduated from Angelo State Universtiy with a Major in English and a Minor in Sociology! Now that he's graduated, Zach will be working with Sons of the Flag - an organization that has been revolutionizing burn care for Americans for the past 10 years and that directly assisted Zach with his own recovery journey. Congratulations, Zach on this tremendous accomplishment!!
Wreaths Across America
Captain Greg Sherrill, Engineer Chris Jones and Firefighters Christian Peyton and Stephen Warne were on hand to help unload a delivery of wreaths this past Sunday that had come all the way down from the State of Maine! These wreaths will be placed at Veteran's Gravesites and will be housed at Station #2 until this coming weekend. Firefighter Peyton (Army Reservist) was also able to sign the side of the semi-truck!
