The City of San Marcos is seeking nominations of outstanding local women to induct into the San Marcos Women's Hall of Fame at its 34th annual ceremony in October.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday August 30, 2019 at 5 p.m. Nomination forms are also available at the City Clerk's Office located at 630 East Hopkins.

The San Marcos Women's Hall of Fame began in 1984 to honor women for their volunteerism and leadership in the community. Since then, 142 women have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Criteria for selection will include volunteerism in multiple areas of service, meeting the needs of the community, demonstration of initiative, influencing positive change and going beyond the call of duty.
How to Nominate
The City of San Marcos, coordinated by the City Clerk's Office, will host the 2019 Annual Women's Hall of Fame Reception on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the City Park Rec Hall, 170 Charles Austin Drive. The reception will honor women who have made meaningful contributions to the San Marcos community through personal achievement and community service.

A special committee of former recipients will review the nominations and select the honorees.
